Crossword Puzzle

Description: Using Microsoft Excel, I created a custom crossword puzzle with clue sheet. I also used conditional formatting to change the font color of the first letter of each answer to indicate if it is correct or incorrect and let players know that they are on the right track. This would be a great way to create content specific crosswords for my class or to demonstrate to students how to create their own crosswords.
NETS-T: By creating a custom crossword puzzle in Excel I have demonstrated NETS-T 1: Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity; area a: promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness; and area c: promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.
